Measuring Health. Improving Healthspan. Advancing Longevity.
Julian A. Jarman, MD Research Foundation, Inc.
Introduction
The Julian A. Jarman, MD Research Foundation's Health Optimization & Longevity 15 STEP PROGRAM provides an evidence-based framework for defining, measuring, improving, and maintaining health before disease develops.
Health optimization is a data-driven process grounded in objective measurement, physiology, and scientific evidence. It is distinct from programs that rely primarily on unsupported wellness claims, unproven interventions, or product sales.
As a nonprofit organization, the Foundation does not sell products of any kind.
Our Mission
Health is more than the absence of disease.
The mission of the Julian A. Jarman, MD Research Foundation is to advance evidence-based methods for defining, measuring, and improving health so that individuals can maintain health, function, and independence throughout life.
The Foundation fulfills this mission in three ways:
- Educate by publishing evidence-based medical information that helps individuals improve their healthspan, extend longevity, and enhance quality of life.
- Advance knowledge by collecting and analyzing data from our work with Foundation donors to expand and refine that educational mission.
- Accelerate discovery by providing financial support for high-quality scientific research in longevity and health optimization

Our Philosophy
We believe that health is more than the absence of disease. It should be defined, measured, and improved using objective evidence, scientific reasoning, and a personalized approach to care.
We promote a collaborative partnership between patient and physician, focused on preventing disease, optimizing physical and mental health, and extending healthspan through evidence-based medical care.
This includes appropriate medical testing, such as VO₂max, resting metabolic rate, and DEXA body composition analysis, along with medications when indicated, scientifically supported nutritional supplements, healthy lifestyle behaviors, and a written health plan that is regularly reviewed and refined.
